Christopher Garwood
Having obtained an M.A. in Jurisprudence at Worcester College Oxford, Chris Garwood qualified as a solicitor in 1973 and specialises in dealing with commercial and insolvency matters.
He is a Past President of the Hull Law Society and a founder member and Past President of the Insolvency Lawyers Association. He is a member also of the Association of Business Recovery Professionals (R3) and of Insol Europe and in 1986 was one of the first solicitors to be authorised to act as an insolvency practitioner.
For many years he was the Law Society's representative on the Joint Insolvency Committee established following the recommendations of the Working Party established by the Insolvency Service and the Recognised Professional Bodies to review the effectiveness of regulation under the 1986 Insolvency Act which he chaired and he is one of the Insolvency Assessors of the Solicitors Regulation Authority.
He is a Deputy Bankruptcy Registrar of the High Court.
