Caroline McDonagh
Caroline graduated from Edinburgh University in 1999 with a First Class Masters Degree in Linguistics and English Language before attending City University, London and Leeds Metropolitan University where she obtained her legal professional qualifications. Caroline joined the firm of Carrick Read in 2002 qualifying as a solicitor with the firm in December 2004.
Caroline has developed her practice over the past three years, a substantial area of which now involves personal insolvency advisory services and insolvency litigation work. Caroline acts for both Insolvency Practitioners and private clients with financial problems or third parties affected by those problems. On the litigation side she has substantial experience including bringing and defending undervalue transaction and preference claims, possession and sale applications, annulment and rescission applications, and applications for fixing officeholders' remuneration. She is a member of the Law Society's Dispute Resolution Section.
Caroline also has experience of dealing with general property and trust issues; also with commercial property and commercial leases, and company commercial work including minority shareholder litigation, and non-contentious commercial work including business/ share sale agreements, shareholder agreements and company debentures.
Away from work Caroline enjoys music and art, swimming, cooking and walking in the Dales.
