Christopher Garwood
Having obtained an M.A. in Jurisprudence at Worcester College Oxford, Chris Garwood qualified as a solicitor in 1973 and specialises in dealing with commercial and insolvency matters.
He is a Past President of the Hull Law Society and a founder member and Past President of the Insolvency Lawyers Association. He is a member also of the Association of Business Recovery Professionals (R3) and of Insol Europe and in 1986 was one of the first solicitors to be authorised to act as an insolvency practitioner.
He is the representative of the Solicitors Regulation Authority on the Joint Insolvency Committee and one of its Insolvency Assessors and chaired the Working Party set up by the Recognised Professional Bodies and the Insolvency Service to review the effectiveness of insolvency regulation under the 1986 Insolvency Act.
A keen golfer he is a member and Past Captain of Driffield Golf Club.
